Reflection
What I have learnt
I am surprised at how much I have learnt over the course of doing the Digital Learning Technology paper. I have learnt it isn't always what you know. With the introduction of sites like twitter and LinkedIn it allows me to broaden my personal learning network. Incorporating interests and links to sites I have created or an online c.v gives me an advantage over those who don't have an online presence and gives me a better chance at achieving success in the industry.
I have also learnt a lot more about how i would go about teaching somebody anything, the way that people perceive information and different ways to learn. Ubiquitous learning or in a classroom.
Things that I liked about the course
I enjoy learning about technology that will help to improve every day life such as gmail and google docs. Because some people don't have Microsoft office and using google docs is a lot more than just getting your paperwork done.
Learning about creating a Wiki and using Wiki Educator was interesting because of how they incorporate HTML and different code into the wiki. Blogger was another interesting tool how you can write your blog post in HTML or plain text.
I enjoyed the Interactivity of the course. I like the sessions on Adobe connect and if i was sick i could be in class from home.
Suggestions for the future
- perhaps an adobe connect session where you have all of your students online.
- have the students make a video introduction about themselves and link it into their blog.
Statement of authenticity I confirm that:
